Week 14

In this week is the last week for fyp project for all students that we must present on due date. Alhamdulillah, the Final Year Project (FYP) is already over with successfully. First of all, i would like to thank to my supervisor, Sir Izwan Arief Bin Abd Malik with give a lot help, opinions, courage, ideas, encouragement and others for our Final Year Projects. In addition, my partners and i very happy and proud because we are successfully done for the project with my friends from week 1 until week 13. As we know, diploma student will be placed around admin building while degree students will be placed at the Gemilang Hall. The exhibition will be start at 9.00 a.m until 1.00 p.m. Besides that, during presentation for our project we have 2 assessors that will access our fyp project. Lastly, after ends it will announce the winner for the best FYP project and top 20. At below have a picture my partners and i, my friends with very happy smiles...  :)

Week 13

For week 13, we have a final intra briefing which held at TTL 2. So my friend and i plan to go that briefing, the coordinator that be explain about industrial training is Sir Azmi Tajuddin. In explaination its about the final step briefing and give the advice to alert and pay attention about highlight dates, submission dates,submission reply form, letter form and resume. At the same time, he also tell about the last date for find the place for industrial training. So we must make sure that can find the place for intra training due to the date. Besides that, for industrial training that starts in early year 2013, we must register first in the form and we also must know what to do during the industrial training.

In addition, my friend and i plan to design and print the FYP posterwith the size of A1. The poster that we design we used to present in exhibition day at week 14. The FYP poster we put and placed at our booth and in our content in FYP poster we must follow the guideline that given and make a details information such as introduction, abstract, objective, methodology, results, reference, conclusion and others important imformation. Make sure the project is done and understand all the circuit operation and each components that being used.

Week 12

In this week, i'm planning with my partners to make some renovation and modification at my project. We also created a model for our project water level detector to be ready and make sure we can present our project in week 14 which start 8 november 2012 in thursday. The model prototype that we created is simple, when we have a model, it can become easy to present at our assessors. So they can more understand and know about scope of our project.

Week 11

In this week, my partners and i go to the briefing which held at the TTL 1 around 4.30 pm until 5.30pm after excellent award archieve done. At the briefing, the briefing which be conducted by fyp coordinator was explain and tell what we gonna to do around week 14 until week 17. Its also tells about our project fyp can be claim by money which maximum RM300 per student which the claim form must be submitted to advisory by 30 November 2012 with the project with the term and condition which are already set up. At the same time, we must open the RPS Unikl Bmi to tske the FYP Assessment Schemes, FYP Project Submission and others. We also can check our assessors at engineering day around week 14. In addition, we also meet our supervisor to discuss and ask him about our project is functioning or not. We also present to him our new simple circuit that we create to solve the problem which our main circuit have a problem. When the project already trobleshoot the problem, we can focus what we must to do around week 14.

- There is a simple circuit project that we present at my supervisor after troubleshoot the problems.

- We meet our supervisor with a happy smiles..hehe :)

Week 10

In week 10, my partners and i decide to writing the FYP report. Since the due date around week 17, but we want to complete early to make sure that to ensure no delay and complete work assignments in advance. Besides that, we must to planning and research about our report and must take the details information. Its also have a guideline that we must to follow and must to be submitted within the period prescribed by the UniKL bmi. To follow the guide to make sure we are not doing the mistake, we can check and view at website at fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my.

However, we also doing the troubleshoot problem for our project to make sure our project can functioning or not. In this time, after we solder the component, we check and analyze that it's have a problem at the circuit. In our operation project, "when water bridges the tracks, base current flows and switch on the transistor, sounding the alarm." But our problem is when we connect the battery at the circuit, its sounding and led is lights up before the probes touches the water. So, our solution is to create a new simple circuit which follow the concept project when detect the water, the led will be lights up and sound the alarm.

- This is our main circuit for FYP project that we do which have problem that must be troubleshoot and must detect the problem to solve it.

-There is a simple project that we create to solve our problem that follow the concept for our project. In next week we want to present at my supervisor to discuss and recommend about our FYP project.

Week 9

In week 9, my partners and i was planning to solder the component at the PCB. Before that, we construct the circuit at the breadboard to test and make sure the circuit is functioning or not. So to solder the component, we must assembly the components at the PCB(Printed Circuit Board). Make sure that we assembly the component which must focus at the component place such that we want to put at the PCB such as the value of resistor, capacitor,IC and others. If we put the components in wrong part or places, its will become a big problem that the circuit will not functioning. After assembly the components with a very well at PCB, make sure we solder its with careful and orderly.

-  We put all the component at the PCB board with careful and orderly. After that, we used a black tape to make sure that when we do the process of solder, the component are not drop.

- When the components already in the setup, we ready to solder the component. Make sure that, when solder don't careless because once we solder lead on component make sure it doesn't touch with another leg of component or line of the circuits.

- Once we finish the process of solder, we used cutter to cut the extra leg of the components. Lastly, the process of solder is finish with successfully and functioning.

Week 8

In week 8 ,as we plans before, we discuss and agree to do the process drilling at the uv board. To do this process,we go at 1st floor to use the equipment drill that already give to used. To drill the hole at uv board, its have different drill bit which have small,normal and large. But in my fyp uv board, we just use a small drill bit. The process we doing maybe not take a long time to make it.

The equipment that we used to doing the process are drill machine,and drill bit and spreader.

There is a box equipment that we used to do this process which are "super mini drill 1PK-500".

Inside the box, the component we used are drill machine (which used battery and can be rechargeable), drill   bit and charger.

After that, we drill the hole at uv board which accordance with the polystyrene. Finally, the process drill are succesfully done.

Week 7

In this week, we have 2nd briefing fyp which held at Gemilang Hall  which date 13 September 2012 Thursday around 4.00 pm. In this briefing, they explains about how to do the final reports.

As a conclusion, we must follow the format of FYP report and refer FYP report guideline.

At the same time, my partner and i also plan to do etching. So we go to PCB Laboratory Workshop to do it at 1st floor.

                         
  1) We put the print circuit trasparent at the UV Box. After that, we put the UV board at the top print circuit and do the process 60s.

2) After that, we put the develop and pour and mix with the water then shake it. This process want to make the circuit appear at UV board.

3) Thus, after done shake, we transfer the PCB into etching tank and do the operation for 4-5 minutes.

4) Lastly,after the process and operation already done, we use sand paper to clean the circuit board. Finally, the circuit appear.

Week 6

"Intra Briefing"

In this week, we have a intra briefing which held at TTL 1 around 4.00 pm. The briefing was conducted by the incharges intra, Azmi Tajuddin. He also explains about Industrial Training Briefing S1/2013(INTRA S1/2013). The intra that must be take by all student will be start in 7 Jan-27 April 2013 around 16 week. Its also give a advice and guidance to the students which required to find industrial placement within this semester.

Week 5

In this week, as we plan before with my partners, we want to construct the circuits on the breadboard. However, to construct the circuits we look and follow the schematics diagrams that we take from the magazine.

There is a schematics diagram that we want to construct on the breadboard.

We check and collect all the component is already have, so we can prepare to start construct at the breadbboard.

Now, finally there is a result that my partners and i already finish construct the circuits on the breadboard and testing it if the circuits is functioning or not.

Week 4

At week 4, its holiday for us because we starts holiday from 18-26 August 2012 to celebrate "Hari Raya Aidilfitri" with the family, friends and others. We as a muslim very proud and happy because after one month we fasting to refrain from hunger and thirst. Since its holiday, my partner and i do the some research to make sure that all the component is already have. So we can plans to construct the circuits on the breadboard next week.
                                                               

Week 3

At week 3, my partner and i plan to go at Jalan Pasar around Pudu at Kuala Lumpur. We go there to buy some components and equipments that will be needed to make a fyp projects. My shop location at Jalan Pasar that i go is Caltrus Sdn. Bhd, Lorong Yap Hin, Jalan Pasar. Before we go,we make a call with shopkeeper boss to make a reservation for equipments and components. We want to ensure that all the component that we want to buy was all available here.

- Below are the receipt for costing and price units for the components that i want to buy. So the overall cost is RM 13.95.

- This is the list of components that i take from magazine to buy at Jalan Pasar.

- There is the shop that i go to buy the component and equipments for doing the fyp projects.

Week 2

At week 2, we meet the supervisor, Sir Izwan Arief Bin Abd Malik to discuss and ask him about our  fyp project at his office in electrical section at level 5. In this meeting, we discuss about the problem that we must to choose which related about logbook and blog. After that, he orders to our to create a blog and must to update every week until the Engineering Day begin. In addition, we have to meet with supervisor once every week on Thursday around 3.00-5.00pm.

Week 1

At week 1, students who takes the Final Year Project (FYP) in this semester have a briefing which held at Gemilang Hall. For course diploma and degree  have a different time for briefing where diploma was around 3.00-4.00 pm whereas, for degree students was around 4.00-5.00pm. The briefing was conducted by the FYP commitee, Madam Norazlina (Electrical Section). She tolds the details about we must see the supervisor to discuss about FYP project or if any problems occur when doing our project and the others. Then, she also tolds about schemes of work for FYP that must be submit before on a due date meanwhile the Engineering Day will be held in week 14. Thus, she give a briefing about the log books and blog that will be choose by supervisor. Besides that, in week 5 all the students must regroup again to meet her.
